Take Advantage of Summer Footwear: Sandals Are Hot!

One of the best things about summer is the increase in options for footwear: Sandals!

Oh yeah, in the winter you can wear boots, but how many different kinds of boots are there really? Sandals give you an opportunity to explore different styles and colors, and you can do it at a significantly lower price than most other types of footwear.

They also need to be replaced much more often than other types of shoes, so it is a good choice for trying something new and a little wild. If you end up not liking it as much as you thought, you’ll most likely be replacing it within a year.

The sandals that you choose can totally change the look of an outfit!

You can choose just about any heel size this year and still be in style, especially if it includes some metallics. Of course, you can’t go wrong with corals, bright blue or a wide variety of mint shades.

Wedges seem to be particularly good this summer, and are at their trendiest when mixing a print along with a couple of other colors.

You want to be sure not to wear a clunky sandal with a wispy dress, or thin-strapped sandals with heavier attire.  And be sure that you take your own feet and legs into account when choosing your sandals – it isn’t all about being trendy. You want to make sure that the sandals you choose will look good on you. Ankle straps will make your legs looks shorter, so if you are already short to begin with you might want to give them a miss!
